ULI Virginia to Explore “Yes in God’s Backyard” and Faith-Based Housing

ULI Virginia is bringing together housing, development, and faith leaders for a timely conversation about the growing Yes in God’s Backyard (YIGBY) movement.
The program will explore how faith communities across Virginia can use underutilized land and buildings to help create attainable and affordable housing while supporting congregational mission and long-term sustainability.
Panelists will discuss development opportunities, financing, policy considerations, community engagement, and real-world examples of partnerships involving faith-owned property.
