Virginia Episcopal Real Estate Partners (VEREP), formerly Virginia Diocesan Homes, has been awarded a new grant from Virginia Housing to help congregations explore faithful and practical uses of their property for mission and community impact.
The grant will provide funding for VEREP to assist churches in the Diocese of Virginia as they discern how underutilized sanctuaries, parish halls, rectories, and land might be reimagined for housing, childcare, food programs, or other ministries that serve neighbors.
This support from Virginia Housing reflects a growing recognition that church properties can be powerful community assets when paired with missional vision and sustainable redevelopment strategies.
VEREP’s expanded work builds on its legacy as Virginia Diocesan Homes, continuing decades of commitment to mission-focused real estate partnerships across the Diocese.
